While Away The Day

 For what ever reason I am struggling to get back into paper scrapbooking- so I have challenged myself to do the various Sketch LO's for the month of a few sites I visit. The LO above is the Purple Pumpkin November Sketch Challenge. And of course I used some of their goodness on the page: Clouds, Doily, and Twine.

I have to say it seems a little weird scrapping stuff from NZ- right now that life seems like a world, and a century away!

"Sound the Octo-Toilet!"

Since we moved to Australia Will discovered "The Octonauts" which he absolutely loves. There have been some very cool games of Octonauts going on around home especially in the last holidays. And that's where the title of this post comes from. It's a direct quote from Will, who didn't realise that Captain Barnacles actually says "Sound the Octo-Alert!". What does all this have to do with crafting you ask? Well in the holidays I scored this classy apron for $1 at the OP shop.

 And transformed it....

There's an abundance of Sassafras in my house at the moment because my last 'big box' ever FINALLY arrived this week- so I went Sass crazy on this page. And yes, I cut people out of my photo- I don't like to do that but I wanted just my 'bestest' Scrapbooking people!

Home on a Bus Roll

This is a piece of Art that I have created based the the plethora of Bus Roll art out in the world. 

It pretty much incorporates all our favourite people and places that we love- even if your name isn't there it's most likely that there is a place we associate with you. It's going to printed on canvas and hung a bit like a scroll in the entrance way to our house. The final product will be approx 50 x 150cm, I'm really looking forward to seeing it in real life.

Getting ready for the Christmas Mail out....

Finally getting to some of the niceties that had to be left aside due to the move. These will be printed as 6x4's and go out with my Christmas cards!

A little bit of digital stuff...

Time to say good bye to my old headers and bring in something fresh for the rest of the month...

There's something Spring cleaning like and refreshing about new headers- it always makes me feel a bit lighter! I've also done one for December- hopefully I'll get a chance to do a few more before the new year rolls around. FYI The hearts on the new headers are by Katie Pertiet At Designer Digitals.

Tamas Monogram Canvas

Finally I stuck adhesive to real paper with pretty things!!

I thought I had blogged these canvas' before but I can't seem to find the post and we have a Transition to Kindy Meeting this morning and then our first official visitor!! So I don't have time to a: find the post or b: find the pictures of the others; but suffice to say everyone in our family has one of these 6x6 monogram canvas' now. At the moment they are all stacked on a shelf but sometime I'll get around to figuring out how I can hang them in this house where minimal hanging is allowed.

I also finally used some of my Purple Pumpkin stash, this sweet little cloud... I like these I expect I should probably get more as I can see them becoming a staple.

Yummy Pumpkiny Goodness....

Since moving to Aus I have been lucky to discover Purple Pumpkin- a mother and daughter team of awesomeness who create scrapbooking embellishments and the sell them via a monthly (or so) sale on their blog. I just managed to find out in time to grab some cool stuff in their October sale. You have to be fast I had my order in within 13 minutes and still missed out on a couple of things I was keen on.

Today they are running a super duper giveaway hence the motivation for this post happening today specifically- but I can tell you that I would have blogged about them eventually and will be sure to do so again in the future- once I finally get photos to paper because their stuff is good, nay excellent.... actually superb! Go check them out....
