So yesterday was interesting. We went to Brown's bay to get the balloons for Saskia's 9th Birthday today. The lady said;
"Somebody's birthday?"
and Merenia replied as she always does;
"Yeah my sister Saskia she's dead."
And it turns out the lady at the balloon shop had a son 20 years ago who died at one day old. And the girl who also works at the shop had a sister who died at around 3 months from a rare genetic condition. We're planning on taking cake to the lady at the shop next April 8th as her son will be 21 and she was lamenting the fact she doesn't have a tradition, yet.
We had big plans for today; Takapuna market early for pork buns and flowers, Davenport playground by the beach with Starbucks and something yummy (probably Brumbies bakery mmmmmm) and then up Mt Vic to send the girl her balloons and who knows what from there.
But....
The morning started with vomit and the day has continued that way. So the big boys have gone to the market to get flowers, buns and starbucks and the girls are back home. Kieley has just arrived, Madagascar is playing, the fire is on and Will is on his mat... so I guess that's how we are rolling today.
Check out this photo... there's some sort of weird effect happening. Perhaps an angel flying by?
Happy Birthday Saskia... it doesn't matter what we do,
I'm sure you know we love you!
